Nori Seaweed Factory Yamoto ～ Seaweed and Pride
Hi, my name is Midori Morikawa
Omagari beach of Miyagi-Prefecture, Higashi-Matsushima-City`s region is famous for its production of seaweed.
When you are making living only on production of seaweed it`s very difficult to continue and you will have to have the best quality. The advantage is we have is the quality of the seaweed that is produced here in our part of the Tohoku region.
The region has been known for it`s high quality of seaweed and when you are living on seaweed production, you will have to have experience. These dried seaweed have won numorous of prices.
A mother who works in the temporary workshops wants to let people know that they are recovering and hoping to build up their production of delicious seaweed. Even tho the sea side areas of Tohoku were damaged they are recovering, because the people in this region have joined and are working hard to produce high quality seaweed.
Interview was conducted with a mother who supports who is a worker in the Sea Weed Workshop Yamato.
