July 7. Wish to Stars
Hello, this is ariTV’s Ono.
In Japan, July 7 is the day of Tanabata on which people write down their wishes on a strip of paper.
What would you wish for on this day?
This time, we bring you our own version of “Happy” by Pharrell Williams.
We proudly present “ Happy We Are From Miyagi.”
People appear in this videos are mainly from Miyagi’s coastal areas. Since September 2011, with this Tōhoku Revival Calendar, we have continued on telling lives in disaster stricken sites to the world.
Three years after the disaster, we made contact with people we met through our endeavor and asked them to help us with the production of the video.
Among many people who supported us, I’d especially like to introduce Mr. Ogata who is the owner of Ishinomaki Yakisoba noodle shop Ajihei
He barely survived the disaster, but his wife is still missing.
Holding spatulas, reminders of his wife, he showed a dance with a smile on his face.
Mr. Ogata noted that it might be the first time since the disaster that he was able to feel so happy.
We pray for his wife, and hope him to be “Happy” from his heart one day.
