Touhoku's recovery schedule is a website created to send the message that Touhoku is great, to Japan and the rest of the world.We want to add the story of Touhoku's recovery to Tohoku's recovery calendar, and by doing so, we want to show our support to people who are moving forward, and for「what's next」for Touhoku.

Sending Good Fortune from Yuriage: Sasakei Kamaboko

This is Ono from ariTV.

Today the Revival Calendar returns to Yuriage, Natori, Miyagi’s Sasakei, makers of kamaboko, traditional Japanese fish sausages.

Sasakei was founded in Yuriage in 1966, and they’ve been bringing a taste of the sea to their community ever since.

But the 2011 tsunami destroyed their three factories and headquarters.

This is the story of their return.
