Sweet&Delicious Cupcakes Makes Donations to Affected Area
“Magnolia Bakery” is a world famous cupcake store. The bakery donated part of its sales (100yen par cupcake) to support the reconstruction effort from the Great East Japan Earthquake, as they start selling “the Japan Cupcake.” They actually have done this before in the United States and donated Japan money in 2011 when the disaster happened.
On April 11, Steve Abrams, the owner and CEO of Magnolia Bakery, visited Japan to attend the ceremony to deliver donation to Rikuzentakata City at Omotesando Store.
Thank you so much for this donation, Magnolia Bakery! We’ll make sure that this money will be used for the reconstruction efforts.
And, today, cute and colorful cupcakes were delivered to the city hall!
Takata city’s mascot, “Yume-chan,” is loving it!
Where’s Yume-chan? Can you find her?
