For Recovery of the Port Town—Next-generation Energies Forum in Ishinomaki
Hello, this is ariTV’s Takahashi.
This time, we visited the “Next-generation Energies Forum” held in Ishinomaki on 8th August.
It’s organized by the Next-generation Energies for Tōhoku Recovery Project.
The project was initiated after the 2011 disaster and is led by Tōji Kazuyuki of Tōhoku University Graduate School of Environmental Studies.
It’s a joint project by the university and local governments to push recovery forward through renewable energy.
What they explained in this forum requires great efforts by specialists, and takes more than a couple years to be implemented.
After the forum, as a resident in one of the stricken areas, I feel my responsibility to concern issues on renewable energy as my own business.
